Amy Carlton

Amy Carlton is Co-Owner and Chief Operations Officer at Carlton Investment Services Group.  Since joining CISG in 2006, Amy has played an essential role in building the strong operational foundation that supports the firm's client-first philosophy. She brings a wealth of experience and a passion for operational excellence to our team. She believes that strong, efficient internal systems are the core of exceptional client service.  Married to Steve Carlton, she brings both a personal and professional commitment to the success of the family business they’ve built upon together.

Amy's career began in the corporate world, where she spent over 17 years in marketing management, meeting and event planning and the medical device industry. Her experience managing high-level projects, events and complex logistics gave her a sharp eye for detail and the qualities she brings to the financial services space every day. Amy and her team understand that great client service starts with thoughtful and well-run operations, and she takes pride in making sure every detail behind the scenes is handled with care. She was also appointed as a Notary Public for the State of Minnesota and is happy to assist clients with their notary needs.

Born and raised in a small Wisconsin town, Amy graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism and Advertising and a Minor in Organizational Speech Communication. Shortly after graduating from college, she moved to the Twin Cities where she eventually met Steve, and years later he urged her to join him in running the family business.

Outside the office, Amy enjoys spending time outdoors, attending local farmer’s markets, gardening, collecting vintage handbags and accessories and traveling with her family whenever possible.  But most of all, her favorite role is being a mom and trying to keep up with her busy teenage daughter.
