Stephen Carlton is the owner, President and CEO of Carlton Investment Services Group, LLC. He's been a Registered Representative since 1990 and brings decades of experience helping clients make smart and confident financial decisions.
Steve works with families, high-net worth individuals, successful business owners, and retirees who are looking for experienced and thoughtful financial guidance. He takes a long-term approach which helps clients build well-diversified investment strategies designed to grow and protect wealth over time. He enjoys working closely with each client to manage complex portfolios so they can make confident, informed decisions. What Steve finds most rewarding is helping people understand how different strategies work and how they can use them to reach their goals.

Steve is a Minnesotan who grew up in the Western suburbs of Minneapolis. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which laid the foundation for his people-first approach to financial advising. He believes that truly understanding each client is just as important as understanding markets and numbers. That perspective has shaped how he builds long-lasting, trusted relationships.
Outside of the office, Steve serves on the Board of the MN Council of Trout Unlimited. The mission of Trout Unlimited is to conserve, protect, restore, and sustain Minnesota’s cold-water fisheries and their watersheds. Other favorite activities include fly-fishing, fly tying, skiing, golf, traveling with his family, and cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers and Newcastle United whenever he can.
